MJ MEMORIES
Monday, June 29, 2009 at 9:21PM So, now for the obligatory blog post about my most vivid Michael-Jackson-influenced memories:
- I deftly performed the moonwalk at my aunt's wedding. Much like the hysteria that came after the first time MJ performed it, my rendition is still talked about to this day in certain family circles.
- I was about 8 years old when I heard Thriller on the radio for the first time around Halloween. I was terrified out of my mind to hear Thriller and the maniacal laughter at the end. Yowza. Made quite an indelible impression on my young psyche.
- We were on a family vacation when Dad asked if I knew who was on the radio. Of course I didn't, though it turned out to be a song from the Jackson 5. I was understandably shocked when he told me "That's Michael Jackson." This blew my mind as up unto that point all I had known was the Thriller MJ.
R.I.P. MJ.
