YOUR RIGHT TO PURSUE.
Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:36PM Let’s begin with this premise:
You aren’t owed anything by anyone.
Your most basic right is to know that you can take your God-given talents and do the most with them that you can.
To succeed.
To profit.
To help others.
To inspire others.
This country has afforded individuals the opportunity to do that.
And that’s why countless individuals have come from other countries to pursue something that their form of government or economy couldn’t – or wouldn’t – allow.
The very act of increasingly taxing someone who produces more and succeeds based on their creativity and ingeneuity is a direct affront to God and our rights that are derived from Him.
These are the very people that create jobs and income for countless others but are then demonized by politicians who have job and career security to protect by tapping into the emotions of the populace (see my post on emotion based decision making) and turning them against the very people who are paving the way for others to have success and income.
Class warfare.
Don’t stand down wind of the smoke coming from the flames the of class warfare fire that are constantly being fanned by those who think they know better for you than yourself, as sooner or later you will be consumed by it and you won’t even know how those seeds of bitterness were even planted.
And here’s a news flash: the most wealthy will STILL find other ways and other places to put their money to avoid paying higher taxes, but YOU will be left out in the cold because instead of re-investing that into businesses and jobs, their money will be locked up and put away safely to avoid prying beauracrats.
These beauracrats are the same clueless people who don’t believe in property rights, who don’t believe that you should succeed on your own merits and creativity and want to direct this country towards socialist, Marxist, communist and / or fascist policies (because of course, those are all Godless and humanist) “for the good of the people” and we only need to look to history see how well those policies have worked in the past. You should pay more just because it’s good for society. But somehow, those who aren’t being intellectually honest and don’t have anything firm on which to stand / place their lives are still somehow going to get sucked into the lies of those types of systems (and then attempt to subject those who live in and thrive on freedom and liberty) to their stupidity.
And there’s no quicker way to completely destroy someone’s self-esteem and to suck the wind out of their ruggedly-individualistic sails than by giving them a government handout. Which in the end is a pittance anyway based on how much money it took to get that handout to that person due to the value of a dollar being completely stripped and destroyed by a government-policy directing jackass.
In Germany parents can be sued by their children if they don’t pay their living expenses while in college. Now what parents wouldn’t VOLUNTARITLY want to help their children as long as they were able? But now we have to inject possible damage to a relationship where people give freely to one-another because of fear of reprisal from government or legal proceedings?
Families are only strengthened organically and through a mutual respect for each other and what they bring to the relationships. Not by having done something for the other out of being forced to do so.
It’s time for you to put up (find your true skills and talents) or shut up (and roll over so that you can thus be rolled over by the government system you want to secure you).
Oh, and if you need me, I’ll be out there “putting up” and showing you how it SHOULD be done.
Don’t look for me in the bread-line.
Have a strong day.
