You don't have the testosterone on board to be able to do this.
Unless of course you're adding it in through other supplemental means, in which case you would probably be the type of gal that wouldn't care about building big muscles, but I digress.
"But I feel bulkier when I lift weights."
Yes, probably so. Because the entire point of lifting weights is to build muscle. And what happens when you start lifting weights is the new muscle pushes the body fat (that lies between the layer of muscle and your skin) OUTWARD. And then you stop lifting weights and the muscle goes down in size. And then you feel smaller. And then you realize you're not making progress and you start lifting weights again. And then you stop lifting weights and the muscle goes down in size. And then you feel smaller.
And then you get into a vicious cycle and wonder why you never make any progress and the reason is that you DON'T PUSH THROUGH THE WALL AND LET THE NEW MUSCLE DO WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO DO, thus naturally raising your metabolism to burn off the fat.
That new muscle will burn that fat that keeps getting pushed outward and thus making you feel bulkier, but NOT if you stop lifting weights. And cardio by itself will NEVER do enough to change your body composition.
Not to mention, WOMEN ESPECIALLY NEED WEIGHT TRAINING TO STRENGTHEN BONES. Stop making excuses and...
Have a strong weightlifting day, ladies.
