CARMAGEDDON WORKOUT: FREEWAY FREE-WEIGHTS
Friday, July 15, 2011 at 9:23AM So Carmageddon is upon us as the 405 freeway is closed from the 10 Freeway at the south end to the 101 Ventura Freeway at the north end.
How will you pass the time this weekend while "parked" on freeways in and around Los Angeles county?
Perhaps with a bit of a body-weight workout?
As you will be a prisoner of the stopped traffic, the first suggestion is "Prisoner Squats."
Secondly, drop down and hit a "Plank" for as long as you can.
Thirdly, "Lane Lunges" should propel you forward more quickly than the traffic will be moving, perhaps.
Fourthly and finally, "Spiderman Push-ups."
All body weight, no equipment required and the only thing that might get a bit dirty are your hands from the push-ups.
