'ROID RAGE.
Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at 11:23PM News flash.
Supplement manufacturers implying that you will reach the size and definition of those bodybuilders (those bodybuilders who are paid big bucks to endorse said supplements I might add) who have spent the majority of their careers using steroids, HGH and other major mass increasing potions and concoctions not available over the counter, are not telling you the entire truth.
I've exercised for 16 years. I've tried many supplements of various descriptions and purposes. Some of which were touted by these "Superheroes" of the bodybuilding and fitness world. Some worked as described. Some didn't. Some worked moderately. Some tasted horribly. Some tasted great.
NONE OF THEM turned me into a steroid-like monster.
None of them will turn you into a steroid-like monster.
With the amount spent yearly on nutritional supplements (annual totals typically exceed $20 billion), why shouldn't they take a chance on getting you to contribute your hard-earned income to lining their pockets as a part of that total?
Why would there be the need for natural bodybuilding competitions if those competing in the big league bodybuilding contests were natural? Its because they're not natural. And no supplement (or series of supplements) alone can make you into a bodybuilding poster child the likes of Jay Cutler and Ronnie Coleman.
If you're not upset about being sold a false bill of goods, you're not paying attention. You're definitely paying for something else, but you're not paying attention.
If you want to use steroids, that's your decision.
If you want to use HGH, that's your decision.
Maybe you won't be caught. Or fined. Or prosecuted.
But you'll know. And when the times comes that you're forced to be honest with yourself, well, maybe you won't feel like a fraud.
Sure, I still spend a certain amount of my income on supplement purchases, but after years of research and consideration, I am very particular about what I purchase. And I adjust my purchases as I acquire new information. I encourage you to do the same.
Find what works. Find what's natural. Find yourself in the process.
Have a strong day.
Bravo out.
