OUR MENTAL HEALTH ALSO STARTS WITH FORGIVENESS.
We must forgive others and especially ourselves for past pain, trauma, and sadness we have. When we become more aware, we finally realize that “hurt people hurt people.” We also see that some people aren’t aware that their behavior is hurtful because they were brought up in an environment where being hurtful is common practice.
We all have a CHOICE to make for ourselves when we go through or have had these experiences—we must forgive to move on. This is one of the HARDEST acts one can do, but forgiveness is not for the other person, IT IS FOR YOU TO HEAL to move on.
Our mental health relies on us mindfully choosing to accept that inconceivable things happened, but also forgiving ourselves and others that may have caused it. Holding this hurt and sadness inside will not help us grow to our full potential.
This act of CHOICE takes mental strength that we earn one day at a time
Let’s choose to always HAVE A STRONG DAY.
